Fear -- or any negative state that persists as a power to punish us -- is the inevitable result of believing that we are something that we are not. Once we see the definitive link between the fear, worry, or anger we feel, and the particular false sense of self that doesn't exist without these punishing states, our choice becomes clear: Either we agree to live with these negative states, ever struggling, in vain, to control any unwanted moment that challenges our false self... Or, we choose to go through that fear, once and for all, in order to see that who we are, in reality, is not who we have imagined ourselves to be.

We never feel more right than when we are looking at something that we think is wrong. Our certainty comes from the negativity. There is a direct correlation between the level of negativity and our level of identification with an image that is threatened.
The last thing that occurs to us in a troublesome moment is to question our own certainty and the identity that arises in the moment. Work to say "I doubt you". Miracles can happen when you work to doubt the right of these states and the self that attends them to command your life.
