A true scripture is the whole story that is being expressed as a potentiality in the soul that is reading it. It is not natural for a human being to seek contentment through thinking. If thought is not the pathway to contentment and understanding than what is? Seeing.
Anger is the fire that leavens the bitter bread of hatred. One cannot have anger without frustration. Frustration gives rise to it. Frustration is due to being thwarted, not getting what you want. Frustration is caused by a desire. The root of desire is the knowledge of good and evil. Good is what I want to happen and evil is what I don't want. Some desires are natural like food and water, love and companionship. It is not a natural desire that produces hatred. Is it possible to desire something that you don't name as good or bad? No. Resistance is a form of desire. We can't desire something good if we don't know what is bad.
In the Garden of Eden there was a certain order of man who lived in perfect harmony with life. He knew and understood all that his eyes fell upon. The desire of the kingdom of good and evil are one thing for human beings because they think they are separate from the world they see. What we want and what we don't want is something born from a self that exists because it knows what good and evil is. It is separate from what it sees. Our lives are centered on getting what is good and avoiding what is bad.
Knowledge and desire go hand in hand. Adam felt ashamed when he ate the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. He had a moment of self- consciousness. God gave us self-consciousness to discover a rescuing God. Matt 5:44 "But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you in order that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good. Therefore, be yea perfect even as thy father in heaven is perfect."
Don't see good or evil based on desire. The whole moment is beautiful when we transcend the nature that knows good and evil when we are not in it. A mind that thinks verses a nature that sees. You have a light in you and two eyes. "Matt 6:22: The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single (good), thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness." If you see from two eyes you see good and evil.
By thinking you rely on knowledge, which makes you feel bad because you don't want anything to do with the state. The resistance to the state, not wanting to feel a certain way perpetuates the state. So how does one learn to want these negative states? You can desire to see what is active in you as a result of your desire. You can desire to want to see your own states more than wanting to be them. What you will see is not your true self but the part of you that didn't exist prior to you resisting the state and having a desire to stop acting from that I that belongs to the earth.
The state is an invitation to become conscious of what you are in relationship with. The Light lives above these opposites. See them. Want to see yourself instead of not wanting to be what you are. Seeing contacts a whole new part of yourself.
