We can either spend our life resisting painful, unwanted moments -- wishing they go away -- or we can learn to look outside of them, which is the only way to discover the Truth that sets us free: within any dark moment dwells a Living Light that increases (itself) with every step we dare take into it.

There is neither pain nor gain in any moment; what is always new cannot be enhanced, or diminished. However, each moment holds the possibility and the promise of transcending an unconscious nature whose endless conflict (with life) is that it never stops comparing its conditioned past to its equally conditioned demands on life.
