Don’t answer the question. Reaction comes from a comparison made by a lower level of mind that has already determined for itself what is good, real, and true. When what it knows is challenged, it uses questions to involve us with the disturbance. The questions imply that it wants to understand and resolve the incident, but it’s actually looking to confirm the answers it has already given itself and has entered into the moment with. What we need to see is that the question is a setup, intent upon keeping us confined within this conflicted consciousness. The exercise is to catch the moment of disturbance and watch how something wants to formulate a question and engage you in an inner dialogue about what to do with what just happened. Don’t answer the question, see instead the nature that is posing it.
