Watchfulness

Classroom Talk: 4/2/2003 - We cannot stop life from happening, but never recognize this fact, because each time we try (to stop it) all we manage to do is succeed in starting up the machinery of our own misery, and then we mistake this aching for the proof of our power.

Classroom Talk: 3/21/2003 - Until each of us realizes that Individual and Spiritual part of ourselves by whose Light we know it is enough just to be who and what we are -- that shows us everything we will ever need to be quietly content is already provided for us -- not only will the personal peace for which we long keep slipping from our grasp, but our world will continue to find that Real Peace remains just beyond its reach.

Classroom Talk: 3/19/2003 - Never agree that you are powerless in the face of dark and unwanted moments, because instead of mindlessly aching you can always reclaim your attention and remember this truth: The Light of God is greater than any shadows come over you so, instead of hating the darkness, look for this Light and watch how your life grows brighter.

Classroom Talk: 3/7/2003 - The seed of greatness is sown in an instant, but in this world of ours everything great takes time to grow. This means that patience, mingled with persistence, is the special nutriment that sustains all things great. Therefore, should we wish to win the Great Life, we need only add equal measures of quiet watchfulness to our spiritual willingness and a Great Goodness cannot help but flourish within us.
