Our spiritual task, assuming we are stirred to seek this truth of ourselves, is to awaken ourselves to the Light that first invites us, and then unites us with its uncompromised life.
All who are asleep to themselves live in the same world of worry and woe, fear and frustration, regardless if they dwell in rambling shacks or richly appointed castles. The only difference between spiritually sleeping people is the temporary nature of the dream they dream from which they have no choice but to be painfully awakened.
