Why is it we cannot learn these spiritual concepts from birth, instead of in the last chapter of life? As I look back, there are so many things I would rewrite. I know they are just pictures passing through my mind at present, but they still bring sorrow to my heart. Poor choices have consumed so many years ... it is hard to believe I could have spent so much time chasing my tail!...

The true interior, spiritual life is not for people looking for ways to be happy; it's for those who have started to realize that they've never known the real nature of happiness.

Unseen by those who feel empty, rejected by those full of regret, and feared by those who resist change... is this inescapable spiritual fact concerning emptiness, sorrow, or fear: our lives are full of what we fill them with!...

Only the one who develops conscious patience can first realize, and then relax in the spiritual understanding that the universe has been created as a school for his higher education.

Spiritually speaking, we have but one problem: we are unable to see that the source of our conflict with life...

That we should search only our own conscience for confirmation of what isgood and true, this is the best definition of integrity. For that which is goodand true is not social in nature, but spiritual in need and in deed.

One sure sign of progress along the spiritual path is the unthinkable understanding that no matter how, or why it's spoken (to you)... whatever someone says that's true about you... is good for you.
