Classroom Talk: 11/21/2021 - The more we dwell on something in our life that we wish wasn't so, the more we soak ourselves in negative energies created by our own resistance. The longer we soak, the more we suffer; the more we suffer, the more we resist what seems to be the unwanted event when, in truth, what we are really drowning in... are the dark dreams of our own sleeping consciousness.
The real reason for being impatient with ourselves, or with others, has nothing to do with the condition we blame it on...

It should be obvious, but it's not: we can't protect our heart and keep it open at the same time, any more than it's possible to be covered by a shadow, and feel the caress of a sunbeam touching our face.
No condition in our life -- for its sorrow or joy -- exists as it does for us apart from our dwelling within that level of consciousness responsible for our experience of it.
The one who lives in spiritual slavery earns a slave's wages, but blames his poverty upon the master that uses him instead of acknowledging that his unwanted condition in life is born out of giving his consent to live in such a wrongful relationship.
One reason it rarely occurs to us that people are doing the best they know how to do in any given moment is because when we get negative over their behavior we don't know any better than to blame them for how we feel.
No negative reaction has the power to release you from what it blames for your pain in that moment...
Spiritual freedom will never be realized by avoiding what disturbs us, but rather by the work of consciously illuminating what still dwells in the dark of us... that is (always) so quick to find someone, or something to blame for its pain.
In this life . . . we are unable to forget whatever remains unforgiven. So, if we won't let go of some pain -- whose time has now past -- then who is to blame for the weight of this burden still being carried on our back?...
Topics Covered: The physical body has the ability to heal itself when we don't interfere. However, most of us are so distracted that we don't even know when our bodies are falling apart; Healing happens from the inside-out. Pain is asking to be healed; Why doesn't our interior, psychological body heal in the same way that the physical body does? If we could heal ourselves...
The only thing good about any negative reaction is the revelation of how useless is that (level of) suffering to change anything about our present nature, let alone the condition it convinces us to blame for its pain...
