There are as many desire-driven dead-end roads promising to deliver us from our fears as there are fearful thoughts looking for a way to escape the consequences of the unconscious choices they helped to create...

If we must dream, let us long for that life beyond ourselves; for who desires things already known, or otherwise imagined, in forms reconfigured from fantasies too well worn? Behold! It is the unknown life that calls to us from a desire untold -- too distant and dark to be seen, but nearer to us than the very light in which we dwell.

No stress or tension exists outside of the seed of some desire from out of which it grows. Everything is better without tension!

Realized or not... our path (through life) is largely set by unseen parts of ourselves, and we follow blindly where they lead; only awakening to this fact has the power to change our choices, and what they secretly serve. Where rather than compulsively struggling to satisfy some imagined desire, we prefer to know the nature of what has suggested it to us; and then, by the light of our new awar...

Rushing is a false thrill; it's a painful sensation that helps create and sustain the illusion that the distance between the false self, and its desire of the moment, is real.

The end of suffering is not found in the pursuit of freedom from suffering, but in realizing the divided nature of desire that imagines and identifies with a pain-free time or a place to come, only to imprison itself in a fear it may lose the heaven it has imagined...

Part I: True gratitude is the only water that can douse the flames of desire. Part II: One's pleasures do not necessarily hold feelings of gratitude, but being grateful is always a pleasure.

No desire can be satisfied (made whole) by the object it imagines any more than eating a great dinner means you'll never be hungry again! Matter is powerless to complete the immaterial.

Part 1 The more spiritually asleep one is... the more instantly angry one becomes for having been awakened. Part 2 Hell hath no fury, as does some strong desire upon being interrupted.
