Only the heart, stripped of its armor by conscious suffering, understands that its emptiness – even its sorrow – is a part of its native wholeness, of its natural and effortless capacity for compassionate love.

Observe the amount of self-induced drama that drives the lives of those around you...and you will also see the amount of unseen emptiness that stalks them wherever they go.

No unwanted experience of life will ever be "over" for us until we're inwardly awake enough...to get over wishing that it was.
