There is no end to the fear of falling into what may be lurking beneath you-but if you choose to enter into the fear of what awaits you just above you, you'll see your old fears transformed before your own eyes into a new Faith that is fearless.

There is a lower world where fears are real -- where all things, and everyone living in this world, are unknowing participants in the fear that's found there. In this darker realm, the thing feared is inseparable from the nature that fears it, so that any action taken by this nature to end the fear it feels becomes the seed of its next fearful state. If you were empowered to change life -- in order to give yourself whatever is always good and true for you to know and have -- would you ever make any other kind of changes? For example, would you fear unexpected events, such as a loss of some kind? No! Even though they may come as a surprise, you already know that they herald a new beginning of something better.

Your True Self cannot be made a captive of any dark condition any more than a sunbeam can be caught in a bottle.
