Classroom Talk: 11/24/2024 - How to Stop Judging Yourself and Others
Pain pointed outwardly must inevitably manifest itself in some form of violence, having found no other answer than to set itself against whatever is blamed for that suffering...

Here’s why no negative reaction -- no matter how valid, or inescapable it may seem -- can liberate us from any unwanted moment it blames for its pain: all (lingering) painful reactions are the reincarnation of a dark nature whose “life” depends on their reoccurrence.

The longer we soak, the more we suffer; the more we suffer, the more we resist what seems to be the unwanted event when, in truth, what we are really drowning in... are the dark dreams of our own sleeping consciousness.
The real reason for our impatience is not the condition upon which we blame it: impatience -- along with its dark fraternal twin, frustration -- is born of our refusal to realize some present limitation and to remain conscious of it until it can be outgrown and transformed.
It is a distinct stage in the development of the aspirant when -- rather than being easily distracted by some imagined consolation for his pain, or by concluding who is to blame for it -- his first and real preference...
