Classroom Talk: 01/18/2026 - Most of us live an accidental life...where our actual condition is constantly covered up by the convenience of being able to regret whatever we look back on as the source of our pain. But let’s be clear. Our list of painful regrets is not due to a cruel world, bad timing, or unfortunate events that got the better of us; no, the fault lies elsewhere, much closer to home: not only are we blind to the legion of unconscious parts at large in the dark of us, but we are yet to see the other half of this same truth: these same parts never stop working to ensure that we never stop wrestling with the regrets they keep resurrecting within us. To what end, this painful plot? That we never become conscious of the relationship between a life we regret, and our identification with a lower level of consciousness that ensures its continuation.

There isn't an instant in which you and I are not being touched by life for the purpose of life being changed by its own touch. Creation is never not happening. But to take part in it, to be a participant in it, requires that we understand that presently we are meeting life from a mind that is fast asleep in itself because it is intimately connected with desire that imagines a way to resolve itself.

How much time and energy and breath would we save if we were aware of the part of us that wants to speak before it starts speaking? Much of the talking that we do is brought about by an unconscious nature that compels us to speak so that it can experience more of itself. By observing ourselves we can catch the anxious part of us that demands we say something in order to relieve the pressure.

Each and every event in our life brings with it a kind of gift just for us, providing we know how to receive it.
