Classroom Talk: 07/19/2026 - Attempting to use thought to grasp the meaning of any moment in life is like reaching out with your hand hoping to capture and hold a sunbeam in it.
Student Talks: 2/4/2022 - Key Lesson: Painful reactions are born of an unseen resistance (to life). This means our suffering isn't created by the situation blamed for it, rather it is the negative effect of identifying with a lower level of consciousness that clings to this painful, mistaken belief: the first thing to do when having to deal with any unwanted moment... is to not want it!
Why is it that we will challenge and then work to change the world's opinions as they concern us, but we never question our own beliefs no matter how much personal pressure, stress and anxiety they may produce? Remastered Classic Talk: 11/9/16 -
Part 1: We resist not what we see as being fearful, but rather what fear sees whenever we look at our life through its eyes. And the reason this fearful nature trembles, as it does, resisting its own dark vision, is so that it can feel unsuited to meet the very situation that it has imagined.
Part 2: We are never overpowered by a negative reaction, regardless how strong it may seem; rather we are overcome by misunderstanding our actual relationship with that dark thought, or emotional state.
Classroom Talk: 7/18/2003 - Work consciously to deliberately drop the names of your pains and you will also learn to let go of all the reasons you have for experiencing them.
