Topics covered: As goes my attention, so comes my experience. As comes my experience, so comes my sense of self. If my sense of self has fallen into what I don't want, then I AM what I don't want; Negative reactions kill all other possibilities. Negative reactions collapse one's experience into a very limited field; "Divinity is our birthright. God nods to God from behind each of us. But let us remember, divinity is behind our failures and follies also"...

Remastered Classic Talk: 01/27/16 - The only way it's possible to be punished by some mistaken action on our part... is if we make the second mistake: allowing the same level of self that we followed into that "pit" to condemn and then punish us for the very misstep that it first assured us was the right one to take!
We say that we want things to change, but we usually seek a change that we can recognize. If what we want is a change that we can recognize, then we must have an image of what change actually is. And if we are imagining what change is, then it is no change at all, but is instead part of a consciousness that is trying to escape itself through yet another plan.
Fear of the future is a negative memory: (it is) the ghost of some past painful experience disguised as "what may be."

Topic: Start Taking the "Little Steps" that Lead to Spiritual Liberation (7/21/21 Classroom Talk)
A painful regret is a needless present pain over an experience now past, where a misstep becomes the seed of a misery mistakenly carried forward, instead of a lesson learned and then dropped.
Allowing anything to eat at you -- by consenting to sit at the "table of torment" -- serves nothing... save the dark and hungry ghost of some past pain that lives only to consume negative energy.
