Maybe that's why hardly anyone speaks of it; things that fade away become accepted, like old jeans or a love affair that no longer hits the spot. After all, we will send a note of appreciation to those who do business with us -- to curry their favor, and we'll occasionally...

Student Talks: 05/2/2025 - For us, death – even as we “learn to live” in its fearsome shadow – seems to mark the end of all that we have known; a looming “last show” when the theatre will be closed, and the final curtain drawn. But, there is another kind of death; and it is the end of fear: rebirth realized in the voluntary sacrifice, and concurrent death of the “knower”.

In this short talk, Life of Learning Foundation Director Guy Finley explains that we as human beings are meant to be very sensitive instruments, never not being touched by Divine influences. Presently we do not have this sensitivity due to the influence of nonstop thinking.

Question: My father just passed away, and after fifty years of marriage to someone who was significantly dependent on her, my mother is struggling to find her purpose. I'm doing well thanks to Truth teachings. I've shared them with her when I felt it might assist, and she has responded. Any words you might have for her would be welcome.

Though difficult to see because of our social and religious conditioning that compels us to seek security outside of us, in a time to come, or in some god that’s imagined dwelling somewhere above us, nevertheless, it is possible to awaken from this dream and realize the truth that sets us free...

God, the Divine, does not hold back the answers for which our hearts seek; it is we who hold onto ourselve...and then wonder over His silence.

Classroom Talk: 2/11/2024 - Life is change; it is creation revealing itself. We can either realize our existence within its movement as a designated part of its Divine design, or we can continue to struggle with unwanted moments in the false belief that the pain of our resistance (to them) proves we know how life is supposed to unfold.

We will make detailed preparations for a single day off, lay out careful plans for a special date, or spend untold moments worrying over what we should wear; but few of us rarely take the time to prepare our interior life to receive the higher impressions that awaken our soul to its substance and meaning.

Here is a great unseen Law: never ask someone to do for you what you haven't first struggled with, mightily, to do for yourself... For in adherence to this Law not only will you be open and willing to admit your present set of limitations, but you will also be forever grateful to whoever steps forward to help you see how to transcend them.

Student Talks: 04/24/2026 - Whatever it may be within us that fears death…is itself the thing that must die.

The energy of life is always washing over you... but when you don't know what to do with that energy, you become dependent on conditions outside of you to stimulate a sense of self, and then become fearful anytime those conditions change.
