Each time some desire-created “I” dreams of a better tomorrow to come, it “sees” that future in the THOUGHTS it weaves to dress it up. But thought -- by nature -- is of the PAST, which means that ALL of our newly imagined tomorrows... are secretly a set of secondhand clothes.

Along the interior path, the aspirant must face what seems many separate temptations; but, in truth, there is but one. In the end, the root of temptation is the desire to see and to feel oneself as being “special”...
