Presence, the actual present moment, is not the outcome of the past, or a door to some imagined future; it is the culmination of Time. Real life is not a result... anymore than the ocean is the outcome of its waves.
Nothing in the universe can make you relive some painful moment from your past as long as you choose to live from the higher understanding that no old dark thought has the power to define you, let alone drag you down.
The more people complain about their unwanted circumstances in life, the less likely they are to do anything to change them!...

Any form of suffering or conflict that tells us to look into the past for its "cause" -- or to the future, in the hope of some imagined freedom to come -- isn't just useless, it's wasted.
The power to change our past only becomes a possibility for us as we awaken to find ourselves no longer able to make any excuses for what we have been, or for being what we are in the present moment.
There is no context for the present moment; It has no “before,” nor an “after.” What is Now... did not come from... a place in the past, and, it has no future. It simply is... and so are you.
Being is a conscious relationship with what is now; knowledge is a relationship with what was, the conditioned content of the past...
