Topics covered: Intellectual knowledge is not the same as understanding. Do not mistake thinking for being; A sudden sense of disturbance comes with the want of relief from that same disturbance; What we really want relief from are the unseen part of our consciousness that by its very nature has attracted the conditions that it then seeks freedom from; What is true refuses to live with conflict or act from weakness.

It is impossible to know the secret holiness of any moment, to realize its divine purpose -- let alone accept your role and responsibility in its appearance -- and resist what the light of that moment has come to reveal to you, about yourself, at the same time.

The purpose of true evolution is not for human beings to one day become free, but to reveal -- to "those with eyes to see" -- that Freedom is the engine of real spiritual evolution, and that this Great Nature already resides within each and every one of us.

Nature reclaims whatever we abandon; this axiom holds as true with an abandoned building as it does with one's soul.

Classroom Talk: 7/18/2003 - Work consciously to deliberately drop the names of your pains and you will also learn to let go of all the reasons you have for experiencing them.

We can no more separate the way we experience any given moment from the level of consciousness involved in the way it unfolds than we can separate waves of water from the ocean that gives rise to them.

Nothing physical has the power to answer your true spiritual needs that are sown into you by heaven; with this evidential fact in mind, then it must also be true that the main purpose of our experiences in this world... is to lead us to realize this unthinkable conclusion.

As surely as an abandoned home is slowly taken over by invasive forms that have nothing to do with its original purpose for being built, so too does the unattended mind become a house of lower forces whose unconscious nature makes impossible the entrance of any higher presence.

Any mental or emotional movement that directs your attention away from where you are, and from what you're actually doing there, in that moment, is a thief and a liar whose only purpose is to keep you from knowing the strength of your own soul and its everlasting contentment.

Nothing created has (a) weakness that isn't (already) married to a strength that fulfills its purpose. The only exception to this celestial law is found in an unconscious nature that imagines it has some strength of its own...

The passage of life's events, including the innumerable relationships through which they are revealed, can either grind us down, or serve to remove our rough, sharp edges; so that whether we feel punished or are polished by our relationships in life all depends upon how well we understand their invisible purpose.

Classroom Talk: 2/19/2023 - My most contented hours are those filled with emptiness; and I regret -- as comes their appointed time -- having to fill these precious moments with what is little more than the mandatory, but mostly empty business of this world: attending to all of the virtually endless forms that are, at best, shadows of the real... at worst, vanities.
