Student Talks: 2/07/2025 - Nothing created has (a) weakness that isn't (already) married to a strength that fulfills its purpose. The only exception to this celestial law is found in an unconscious nature that imagines it has some strength of its own, and that - for having become identified with the illusion of this false image - lives in constant fear of anything that comes along to challenge its dream.

Topics covered:  You will never be in command of anything that you don't want to understand. A new understanding changes your relationship with what you want to understand; You serve what you do not understand, and you presently do not understand pain; If we knew that we were inwardly at war all the time, then we would be more attentive to each moment that we enter into.

Topics covered:  Presently you are looking to find your place in life. What you should be doing is seeing what is out of place in your life; Hidden within the reaction that says "Make something happen!" is the unseen belief that you will lose something valuable if you do not. The unseen fear that demands that you make something happen threatens you with loss if you do not do as it commands.

Topics covered:  Our lives are spent trying to change our lives in an attempt to find some kind of happiness as it has been imagined. Yet after all of these years, we are still trying to change our lives; There is the kind of life spent trying to change your life, and then there the kind of life that understands the futility of struggling to change your life as you imagine it.

Topics covered: It is Grace that shows us our limitations and weaknesses, even as almost nothing in us wants to know about them; We have been deceived into protecting something in ourselves that lives to ruin our own lives, and by extension the lives of others; Is anger a strength or a weakness? Anger deceives us into believing it is a strength, but it is a weakness, a limitation that resists the moment and limits our possibilities.

Topics covered:  Within us already lives a nature that does not have to resolve problems because it is problem-free to begin with; True teachings are intended to awaken a new kind of effort in us, and to expose the wrong kind of effort; Doing is downstream from being, and sorrow is the inevitable result of living from a nature that is out of order, and not in harmony with the broader life.

Topics covered:  "You keep looking in the wrong places for what you are hoping to find when you get there in a time to come; The condition that we see is not responsible for the conflict that we feel; When reality challenges what we have imagined conditions should be, so that we can be who we think we have to be, we fall into conflict and suffering."

Topics covered:  "The events that we don't want must return. Above our present understanding is the fact that everything that transpires is the expression of another order of being that is responsible for reconciling the moment; The root of all true teachings, the true basis of religion, is "metanoia," which is the capacity to turn around and experience a completely new order of relationship with life."

Topics covered:  "Part of the miracle of true beauty is that you are not separate from it when you see and experience it; We see our mind's explanations of what is taking place. As such, we do not see the whole;  Each center belongs to yet another center. Whatever the center is of the moment, it cannot be personal. But for us presently, everything is taken personally."

Topics covered:  "You do not see at all, but you think you see. You are identified with every thought that passes by, and the sense of self that comes with it;  Anything that you imagine, and then identify with, has no life in it at all; It is impossible to have a lingering negative reaction unless, in the moment of the reaction, you have met a moment like that before."

Topics covered:  What you call "your love" is sustained only as long as conditions seem to support that love. As soon as conditions change, what you called "love" is replaced with disdain, anxiety, fear, resentment, and hate; Take the fragments of Truth that you hear into your heart, and that Truth will lead you to the next Truth; When you dwell on an image, even an image of the Divine, you are without knowing it dwelling on the love of yourself.

Topics covered:  We are born to search, but we keep running into dead ends, feeling like we are missing something. We only know to look for what our present level of understanding tells us is missing; "Metanoia" refers to the possibility of a higher part of ourselves that we are not present to. We would not know that we are presently blind were it not for an order of awareness that sees.
