Classroom Talk: 1/1/2020 - Here is the real "secret" of starting over: No moment in this life of ours can be any newer than we are willing to be at the outset of its appearance.
The more we think about what’s wrong with life, with others, or about ourselves, the less we see this self-evident, but simple truth that once realized... helps set us free: the more we think about any disappointment, or the prison of some lingering pain we can’t seem to escape, the more we are made a captive of those very same thoughts.
The more we wrestle in our mind with some weakness we wish weren't in us, the stronger that weakness becomes. Here's how it works: thinking about a weakness dilutes seeing it for what it is; and the more we allow our false nature to dilute the truth of what's seen, for instance, that we haven't the strength we imagine we do, the stronger becomes that weakness.
We are created to know ourselves not by what we think about, but to know ourselves within God's ever-present, perfectly changing Life. The challenge for us is that we are habituated to thinking about ourselves and deriving a sensation of ourselves based upon the images that we consider.
We have lost the relationship between what we see with our eyes and the registration of it as an aspect of our own True Nature because we don't see what we see; instead we think about what we see. And when we think about what we see, what we receive is the content of thought that has stored that experience. We don't receive what is real, alive, changing, creative, and forceful.

This higher intellectual and emotional intelligence is to your present thoughts and feelings as is the mighty oak to its own spreading branches. Once you come into contact with its perfect strength and power, you'll wonder how you ever lived without it. Great mas...

Negative reactions are mindless. Don't be mindless; learn to think for yourself.
Guy provides deeper insight into ideas from recent talks as students report on their experiences and observations while working with various exercises. Topics include consciously choosing not to go with old patterns, bearing the pressure of painful thoughts, and working to allow revelation.
Part 1 The proven way to end ninety-nine percent of those heart-heavy feelings that drag you down each day is to stop thinking about yourself! Part 2 The only way to realize a life free of painful comparison to others is to boldly embrace yourself as you are ... and discover therein that no one else on earth has been gifted with the possibilities you alone are created to know.
