What is True is quiet; it is at peace with itself, whatever it silently reveals. What is untrue has no such peace; it is unable to be silent. What is True has no need to think about, let alone talk to itself about any lie it may see. What is untrue can't stop talking to itself in order to cover up what it doesn't want to see, ceaselessly telling itself that it sees truly.
Peace is not the opposite of conflict; it is the absence of it.
The heart at peace is its own reward, needing nothing outside of itself to be fully content.
In any peace we name -- imagine, pursue and then struggle to protect -- lurks a fear that stalks those who dream they can possess what is beyond imagination...
Only the mind emptied of its painful need to seek something outside of itself finds lasting peace.
Peace of mind cannot be "pieced" together anymore than it's possible to sew water, or weave sunbeams into light.
Our present level of Self -- with its accumulated fears, compulsions, and doubts -- knows only one way to deal with the disturbances that upset its precarious balance. It thinks about them. It calls on the body of its collected past experiences, compares them to its current situation, and then concludes both the nature of the problem and what must be done to "deal" with it...
Never speak out of anger, > Never act out of fear, > Never choose from impatience, > But wait . . . and peace will appear.
Until we learn to make peace with our own sense of emptiness, we will never know the true nature of fulfillment.
Peace of mind cannot be “pieced together” any more than it’s possible to sew water, or weave sunbeams into light.
There is a time, a purpose, and a place for everything under the sun, and Peace finds the one who knows this place.
Rushing somewhere, through anything, in the hope of finding some imagined peace of mind is like looking for your heart in someone else's body!...
