We are never further away from the True Peace we seek as when we look outside of ourselves for a place to rest.
With the mind we can learn math, medicine, even creative arts, but the peace that is the heart of a quiet mind cannot be learned.

Topic: The Truth that Sets You Free Begins the Moment You Agree to See It! (Classroom Talk 7/5/23)
Thinking can no more produce true peace of mind than throwing a stone into the center of a pond has the power to quiet its ripples.
We must learn to wish for whatever life brings us, for there is no other way to earn the kind of unshakable gratitude that lets us live with grace.
Here's the most important thing to remember whenever you find yourself in a mad rush: what you really want, what you're really after, is a quiet mind... a peaceable state of self reached only by realizing there is no place more empowering for you to be than in the present moment.
Have you ever been in the midst of that very personal sense of peace called, "sitting in front of the TV with a nice pizza?" Then the phone rings, or a neighbor drops by, and... boom! Your slice of heaven is replaced with simmering resentment toward the person or event seen as disturbing it.
You cannot separate the onset of the disturbing moment in life from the appearance of some simultaneous new possibility to know a deeper and more unshakable sense of peace.
Before you can know the Living Peace for which you seek, you must not only realize the wolf within you dressed in sheep's clothing, but you must expose its tailor as well.
