Any time you're rushing around, under pressure to hurry up and "get it done"... you may be assured of the following truth: not only will you run right by the (real) purpose of your life... but crossing whatever may be your "finish line" of the moment will prove itself as meaningless as the time you wasted trying to get there.
All unhappy thoughts are creations of a mind that visits what it does for the sole purpose of stirring up something with which to stimulate itself. To see this truth is to see that you are not this mind, nor its misery -- which further means you need never again consent to the captivity inherent in trying to sort out its sufferings.
Realize the amount of pain in your impatience, and in that revelation you will also know the extent to which you’re deceived about who you are, and the true purpose of (your) life...
Patience can be a great virtue, while learning to push ahead often proves invaluable to those who prevail; but only a marriage of these two spirits can grant us true success, because in their union we are empowered with a calm and steady watchfulness that is always ready and willing to act.
