One is always considering, so deeply steeped in the ceaseless preparations of planning and pursuing some imagined freedom "to come" that he forgets -- and consequently -- forsakes the possibility of realizing that the freedom he seeks has long awaited him... within his (own) Being.
The sooner we see the secret relationship between how certain we are over what we think we know, and the extent of our suffering over the same, the sooner we will find that elusive freedom that comes only with freedom from the known.
Self-awakening, and the freedom from fear that attends it, begins with seeing through what is not real, just as freedom from the terror of being in a nightmare begins with discovering that you have been asleep and having a bad dream.
The sooner we see the secret relationship between how certain we are over what we think we know -- and the extent of our suffering over the same -- the sooner will we find that elusive freedom that comes only with having realized freedom from the known.
Freedom is not created, which means it cannot be destroyed any more than the onset of night destroys the light of the sun; and we are never "nearer" this true freedom than when we remember the truth of this fact in the middle of some fear.
Freedom is not created, which means it cannot be destroyed any more than the onset of night destroys the light of the sun; and we are never “nearer” to knowing this True Freedom than when we dare to enter the darkness within us armed only with the remembrance of this fact...

In real life there are no "tracks" to follow, but thought runs along the tracks of memory, and memory always departs from, and returns to the same station: the PAST. This explains why it seems we never arrive at that divine station in life called "True Freedom"... because real freedom is not in time.
In REAL life there are no "tracks" to follow, but thought runs along the tracks of memory, and memory always departs from and returns to the same old railway station: the PAST. This explains why it seems we never arrive at the higher station in life called "True Freedom"... because real freedom is not in time.
You wish, and then rush, to free yourself from your sorrows, but refuse to change the beliefs causing them...which is like jumping off the Ferris wheel onto the merry-go-round in the hopes of bringing an end to your dizziness. Any attempt to protect yourself from emptiness only creates the illusion of it...along with an imaginary self that believes it can somehow outrun this unwanted nothing.
