Student Talks: 5/24/2024 - Key Lesson: There is no distance, no time or space in seeing what is; And what is speaks for itself, which means no thought is required to understand what is being revealed in the space of some troubling time. This clarity is choiceless strength, as well as its right use, all at the same time.
Calling on, and then allowing a spirit of unrest to help guide you to the peace that your heart of hearts seeks...Is like hoping that a stiff winter wind has come, just in time, to help you gather all the leaves that lay scattered across your lawn.
The clearer it becomes that it's impossible to "get ahead" of yourself -- physically, psychologically, spiritually -- the more at peace you are with whatever comes your way... because you're starting to realize now that who you are in the moment is the seed of all your moments to come.
The only thing we really win in any temporary victory achieved through agreeing to be angry, aggressive, or to otherwise ache... is this guarantee: while we may live to fight another day, we are losing -- little by little -- the possibility of ever knowing the "peace that passes all understanding."...
Classroom Talk: 9/18/2002 - It may be fairly said that one has only found his True Place in life -- a place undiminished by time, unassailable by tide -- when he knows this place resides in the very center of his heart and seeks it no place else.

When we know we can't put out a fire by feeding it more wood, then why don't we see the futility of trying to calm a mind enflamed by its own thinking... by adding more thoughts?
Stormy thoughts and feelings can no more overcome your quiet awareness of them than do raindrops have the power to wash away the sky through which they pour.
To suffer needlessly – as in worry over what others think of you, or for trying to please negative states that can never know the peace they push you to seek – is the greatest waste there is. Such sorrow serves nothing save the self that glorifies darkness through its self-inflicted pain.
There can be no silence, no real peace in our heart and mind without full acceptance of each moment... And there could be no such acceptance of the moment without accepting what the moment reveals to us -- about us -- in that same moment...
If you listen carefully, quietly, you'll hear the voice of the moment tell you that all is well and always will be.
The painful pretense of human arrogance exists only as it does because of how distanced we’ve become from the immense, DIVINE mystery of our true Self. The more we AWAKEN to the depth of this mystery, the more we realize the effortless peace of a supernal humility.
