When suddenly -- through a sense of similarity -- I'm made present to some positive, uplifting quality outside and within myself, I am happy. I lend myself to it without doubt. But in moments I am introduced to something negative inside myself by an event that I don't want, I have to find a reason for it being there.

There is an unseen source of daily suffering that is the constant companion of humanity. It is in one respect one of the great driving forces behind the darkness that encompasses this planet -- the unremitting wars, the violence, the greed, the fear, the desperation -- all the things we see in the world around us...

Resisting any moment that reveals a present limitation is the same as pushing away the lesson we need to illuminate our new possibilities.

If our intuition can perceive that the peace we long for is inherent in this perfectly present moment we call the "Now," what is it that keep us from knowing the fulfillment of its promise within us? Let's look.

Student Talks: 11/14/2025 -There are thousand different ways to wrap a gift, but there’s only one way to receive the true “present” moment…and that is to be open to what it has come to give you.

 

Since the active principle of the present moment ceaselessly refreshes itself -- so that all is ever-renewed in the now -- there exists nothing in Reality with the power to hold someone captive... anymore than standing in a fountain of water constitutes becoming a prisoner of its flow.

Anyone or anything that asks you to be untrue to yourself has already acted against you.

A true aspirant waits in the present moment for what the moment reveals to the aspirant about him- or herself. And since that is never-ending and always changing, so is the aspirant's interior life. You have more going on in you than can be described, but you must work to be fully here, fully open, in a conscious remembrance of the whole of yourself.

The true present moment is a point of Light out of whose silent awareness Real Life is ever emerging, even as it returns back into it.
