The only way it's possible to place the need of another -- ahead of what we want in that same moment -- is to see his or her need as our own.

Spirit serves those who serve it; Love comes to those who walk away from selfish acts. Kindness and patience flower only in the hearts of those who die to the cruelty of demanding that life give them what they want when they want it.

Whatever thought or feeling we mistake for being the same as our self must, eventually, corrupt us -- much in the same way as an eagle, confined to live in even the finest cage, eventually forgets all about the freedom of open skies that were once its sole domain.

Everyone wonders whether or not there is one great secret for truly successful living. There is. And it is not a secret. Listen quietly for a moment: everything can change right now. Learning to hear this supreme secret is no more difficult than choosing whether to swim against a current or to let it carry you safely to the shore. ~~~ Real change itself isn't found in some new way to think...

Properly understood, everything in life that now disturbs us is intended to lead us to a world in which who we are lives as one with all that takes place within it.
