The whole idea of turning straw into gold is connected to using any unwanted moment to gain a whole new level of understanding and to connect to a higher level of consciousness that is not afraid of the moment.
Confusion and compulsion are secret partners in the pain they produce. Their unseen conspiracy creates the appearance of a "self" that resists seeing its own limitation, and that then seeks -- in desperation – a way to escape this unwanted encounter with reality by first "suggesting" -- and ultimately embracing -- some form of compulsive behavior.
