Permitting the many self-imposed demands of our exterior life to outweigh the Real need of our interior life is not only to place the proverbial cart before the horse, but it also makes a distant second our relationship with the Divine Driver, the only One who knows the Way Home.

You are the answer to any question you ask, or that life asks of you. To have this true self-knowledge -- born of higher self-understanding -- leads to a life without fear, a faith that grows daily, and the patience it requires to perfect your relationship with the Divine.

Spiritual awakening is not a conquest any more than one can "win" a moment of wondering at the beauty of a sunrise, or come to own a cooling breeze on a warm summer day. Spiritual awakening is a relationship, a shared presence with (one's own) higher states of consciousness.

Spiritual wisdom is our greatest wealth. And when, at long last we see this is true -- so that our first love in life becomes the wish to discover the truth of ourselves -- then each moment of every relationship serves as the doorway to the indwelling Divine.

The more willing we are to see the truth of ourselves as revealed in each passing moment, and then do our level best to attend to its silent instruction, the more truth seems to "follow us around," making straight the Way.

We have no greater Friend in life than the small part of us that loves what is True. The more we work to honor this relationship, and recognize our responsibility to help strengthen it, the more confidently we’re able to call on it...

As goes your attention, so comes your experience. As goes your attention, so comes your possibilities; All possibilities already exist within consciousness; Instead of being aware of all of our relationships, we presently think about our relationships; We presently experience the world only from the outside-in, whereby the outside world must line up with ideas of how events should unfold...

The wisdom behind the old adage, “Look before you leap!” is found in this inescapable fact: no choice of ours, no movement, can take place in life that doesn’t cause everything else to move in relationship to it; whatever the nature of our actions, they must eventually return to act upon us.

Seeing our helplessness, realizing our actual interior state without falling into despair over this revelation, is the first (real) step out of an unconscious level of self and into a conscious relationship with another, Divine order of being whose strength is realized only in proportion to our humility before it.

Even though we must each do all that is in our power to make our lives and this world as perfect as they can be, we must never forget that perfection is a relationship and not a set of rules by which to justify punishing ourselves, or others.

Part I: Self Realization is the restoration of our essential relationship with the LIfe Divine. Part II: True contentment finally dawns within us once we see that the only thing troubling us is a set of mistaken ideas about ourselves that we have come to call our own.

Our relationships, but especially with those we love, are a kind of "magic mirror." Our partner helps bring us into an awareness of qualities and characters that otherwise we'd never see as dwelling within us.
