It is what we attend to that determines what we will ascend or descend through.

For the man or woman who persists with the wish for Truth/God to be first in life, there really is no such thing as failure.

Anyone can chart a course to happiness, as millions of people do on a daily basis; but only the few -- who refuse to fall into despair after losing their way -- ever find what they are looking for.

It is a Truth: we must be moved along by life, for we all play a role of one kind or another in the world of passing time. Each must mount some appointed stage in that hour of need. But it is not true that one must feel anxious and rushed; such anxiety, and its painful expression, is not a natural part of passing time, for all there dwells in its place accordingly.

Are failures in life inevitable? Does the Higher Power, once attained, see to it that we only succeed? Try to understand the difference between living from something within yourself, whose nature is contentment itself, and living from those parts of yourself that are forever seeking contentment. Perfection is not a goal; it already exists, and you are created to perfectly reflect this fact... And to know its freedom.

We affirm the Light of Truth -- not by professing its powers on sunny days, but in choosing to walk by its Light -- no matter how faint -- even in the midst of our darkest hour when all that we see before us is defeat.

I do believe we have a higher self, and that getting to that part of us is the real goal for freedom, but I wonder how you can still have dreams, desires, wants and hopes without your mind to dream and want and hope. I'm trying to understand how to live higher consciousness but still do mundane things like work, paying bills, shopping for food, etc. (From student correspondence)...

Our present mind looks at the universe through what amounts to a pin prick in a piece of paper and declares, by that minuscule light meeting the eye, that it has seen all there is to see!...
