Part 1 Moment to moment things happen in the only way possible; we can either live in denial of this fact or, by facing it, find that freedom and surrender always appear together in the now. Part 2 Just as darkness serves the Light that reveals it, so does fear (serve) the Love that heals it.
Yours is the spiritual right to walk through this life free of regret...and without any fear of what awaits you just ahead.
Real abundance has very little to do with being able to give ourselves whatever we want, but rather with being free of the part of us that's forever wanting something better and new in order to feel new and better about itself.
The difference between being angry with ourselves, or at someone else, is found only in the image held in our mind at which we lash out. Either way, the effect of this unconscious fire in us is always the same: It is we who get burned!...
We are carried along in the stream of passing time by (our) dream that freedom from stress, strain, and struggle will be ours as soon as we reach their “promised land” of perfect security...
In this short talk, Guy Finley talks about a new understanding of ourselves that will put an end to unconscious suffering... if we will remember to put it into practice.
More often than not, aspirants fail to see the following truth that -- only as realized -- sets the stage for a new and unimaginable spiritual order of freedom: spiritual facts, left to themselves -- regardless how elevated or sublime -- morph into an unseen psychological trap: a literal web of soul-entangling concepts that, when not consciously acted on...
There is likely nothing more painfully mistaken -- no greater impediment to the realization of our freedom than the feeling that we are somehow entitled to it; we are entitled to nothing, and yet -- even in this world of spellbound souls who can only dream of being free -- we may have anything for which we're willing to make the appropriate payment.
We can't change others -- or the purpose of any given moment as it unfolds; but we can work to place one less demand upon both. Only in this action can we hope to find the freedom for which we seek, because the only thing that imprisons us -- in the end -- is our resistance to whatever runs against our deeply seated demands.
Persist with your wish to be free; work to see all that you can about yourself, and then quietly watch what happens. Whatever appears before your inner eyes does so as part of what you need to see in order to realize that freedom for which you have asked. Never forget this truth... and your spiritual progress will be steady.
