Only the heart, stripped of its armor by conscious suffering, understands that its emptiness – even its sorrow – is a part of its native wholeness, of its natural and effortless capacity for compassionate love.

If you wish to "love thy God with all thy heart, soul, and mind," then learn to look at your life – moment to moment -- with all thy heart, soul, and mind.

Learn to be thankful that life is being given to you moment by moment, for it is only through such gratitude that love reveals the great secret of rebirth.
