Why is it that we so seldom remember to help another at the cost of ourselves, and yet find it so hard to forget those who fail to remember us in our hour of need?...

No one wants to be touched by the hand of suffering, so millions spend billions trying to outrun its cold touch. And yet, these are the unwise for a very unseen reason: into every life must come some rain, for without it what else can a heart become other than a desert that never blooms?...

In this short talk, Guy Finley talks about how we are intended to discover that who we really are, our true self, is a multi-colored palette of extraordinary possibilities.

Throw yourself into what the day asks of you, and let no thoughts of uncertainty delay your departure. For the only true way to answer the day is to sail into it, despite contrary winds, and let whatever unfolds teach you to master the ship of yourself.

There is never -- not ever -- a good or right reason to accept the lingering presence of some dark state, or to otherwise act wrongly towards your self or another.

Worry and uncertainty cannot be solved by the mind that creates these self-wrecking states. Only by allowing such fears to run their full course through the mind that has made them can that same mind come to see how it makes its own misery. Then fears are not resolved, they are dissolved.
