When we will do what we know in our hearts is the right thing for us to do, for no other reason than it is the right thing to do, there is no wrong that can touch us.

The cost of starting over spiritually is not what I pay to achieve some distant desire, but it is in my willingness to let go of -- to dare to live without -- any desire I may have whose promise of fulfillment drives me to search for it in yet another tomorrow.

Waiting on others to approve a change you know you must make in your own life -- an action you must take that will likely lessen your dependency upon them, and perhaps drive them to make changes in their habitual choices -- is like hoping that a snow man looks forward to a spring thaw.

If your true wish is to bring an end to your recurring fears and sorrow -- in whatever form these "bad dreams" may appear -- then you must stop identifying with your "sweet dreams" as well. After all, no one who sleeps through this life is safe within the darkness of that deeply slumbering level of consciousness in which there's no telling what dreams may come.

Although it may not always seem true... there is no 'dark side' to any image-shattering truth that we agree to see about ourselves; it is only our present inability to comprehend how this stage of (interior) illumination sets the stage for revelation... that makes us want to hide from its light.

The main reason it's wise to listen to one's own heart -- whenever we can step out of the rush and remember to do so -- is that there's much more to be learned from the parts of us that don't "speak" in words... than those that do.

Any part of one's self that finds good reason to justify its pain is the source of that pain it justifies.

Unhappiness -- with all the negative thoughts and feelings that it breeds -- is a form of greed; this kind of sorrow is produced by a sleeping mind that sees most moments, whatever their given nature -- as never being enough!...

The failure to reconcile what disturbs you about the world around you, while averting your eyes from the world within you, is very much like continuing to overeat... and then blaming your stomach for getting upset.

The first step toward learning to make fearless choices in life begins with abandoning the fearful chooser.

No one is obligated to feel spiritual remorse; yet, 'it is written' in the stars themselves that all must eventually pay for what they have done against themselves, or others. For Justice through balance is the great Law, enforced by a tireless, unfailing Love... whose final consolation is a pure heart no longer capable of inflicting pain upon another, or itself.

Only what is 'guilty' resists or otherwise fears having its character accused of some shortcoming, and actively denies whatever it feels has judged it unjustly; but what is innocent cannot feel condemned. It fears no judgment anymore than a sunrise fears the grip of the darkness it has come to release.
