Part 1 Work is how you start helping yourself, because the only thing hurting you is your present inability to see into and work through what is compromising you. Part 2 The true (and only) victory is in the "battle" well fought, for only when we willingly engage the adversary do we discover -- in each successive encounter -- that we are always given what we need to succeed.

Here is a great spiritual paradox: none can hope to know the truth of their Divine Individuality until they have realized their all-inclusive similarity with everyone they meet...

There can be no greater wealth than higher self-knowledge. And once we realize this truth -- so that we prize transcendent wisdom above all other possibilities -- every moment, wanted or not, serves as the secret path to the spiritual summit of ourselves.

Spiritual freedom will never be realized by avoiding what disturbs us, but rather by the work of consciously illuminating what still dwells in the dark of us... that is (always) so quick to find someone, or something to blame for its pain.

Whenever we set out seeking any kind of power, be it social, financial, and including spiritual, we are under the power of that which has no power; and where, regardless of what it may seem we’ve obtained, we have become increasingly powerless.

Strive for excellence in all things -- especially in your spiritual work -- to make your studies and actions continuous. Even a small amount of inner work on oneself, done each and every day, is better than a “grand” effort made every second moon.

Spiritual patience is a priceless reconciling virtue that's learned, and earned in one way, and in one way only: by awakening to -- and then agreeing to consciously suffer -- what our impatience does to everyone and everything... not just around us, but within us, as well.

The one who lives in spiritual slavery earns a slave's wages, but blames his poverty upon the master that uses him instead of acknowledging that his unwanted condition in life is born out of giving his consent to live in such a wrongful relationship.

Part 1 Your possibilities in life for spiritual growth are as unlimited as is your willingness to consciously meet your limitations. Part 2 Resisting the revelation of any one of your present limitations...is like resenting the ocean because you never learned how to swim!...

Spiritual wisdom is our greatest wealth and, as we realize the truth of this -- so that true self-knowledge becomes our single greatest wish in life -- each moment of every one of our relationships serves as the secret path to the summit of ourselves.

Life will empty whatever you fill -- and whatever you empty, Life will fill. That's the code -- the hidden higher understanding required for spiritual wholeness; in this eternal Law is hidden the timeless splendor of the soul, all wrapped in mystery and filled with bittersweet contradiction.

We are never judged for whatever may be our present degree of spiritual blindness. Only when we agree to turn a blind eye to some truth about ourselves that life has asked us to see are we instantly punished by our refusal to see.
