The divided mind looks for difference; it ceaselessly judges all that it sees in order to confirm its false (and fearful) perception that it's separate and apart from life. But the awakening mind... sees within itself a living symmetry between all things above and below, and knows this similarity to be the framework of Love.
Unless heart, head, and hand are all in the same place at the same time, working as one, then whatever is done is done half-heartedly, without thoughtfulness, and in half-measures. The only way that heart, head, and hand can be all together at once is when Love unites them in a single purpose.
When all you have is yourself, you have to be afraid. And yet if you really had possession of yourself, fear would not have any power over you. Just as beauty is not a concept -- and love isn’t an act of thought -- neither is the Answer to the Question of each passing moment something that can be known with the mind alone. Either the Answer appears with the question, or both the question and the answer have been missed.

In difficult moments with others let us remember this truth: it is better to find ourselves lacking the love we need to be kind -- and to quietly suffer this humiliation -- than it is to act from what is unkind by lashing out to blame another as a way of hiding our weakness.
