Those moments when we are awake to ourselves, where we are bright and vital and know we are alive, must not be mistaken as the fulfillment of our soul but felt as a gracious reminder of the Life that awaits us if we will finish the journey back to our Spiritual Home.

In this world, a star is something you wish upon -- while hoping that your wish may come true. But, in higher worlds -- in the spiritual kingdom -- your wish is your star... So that whether it comes true or not depends on one thing and one thing only: how faithfully you keep it in sight.

The former begins by the light of inner work, fueled by an awakening faith. One sign of true spiritual success is when, at long last, we realize not only are we (always) standing in the right place for us to to be in that moment but -- even more telling is this: regardless how that moment unfolds... there is no one else on earth we would rather be!

The real reason people remain captives of unwanted circumstances in their lives is because they've yet to realize this great spiritual secret: Resistance is negative attraction. In other words: the longer we dwell on what we don't want in life, the larger grows that dark dwelling place in which we find ourselves living.

Who can say that the price of winning spiritual freedom is too great to pay, especially when the cost of any alternative -- regardless of the pretty name we give to this compromised estate of ourselves -- ensures that our short time on this world will be spent as a slave to its essentially empty promises.

The events in our lives, and the lessons they bring with them, are not accidental any more than a mirror accidentally reflects what comes before it. What is accidental in these moments so ripe with the potential for one's spiritual growth is what takes place within us as we gaze into these ever-changing mirrors.
