For those who seek to discover the truth behind their inconsolable discontent, every now and then certain individuals appear who are able to provide insight and guidance.
It isn't this world that threatens or disturbs us. We are dominated by our own thoughts and feelings. We are taken over by our own reactions. This is painful for us because our original nature, our True Self, longs to be free and unencumbered by self-limiting, self-defeating, compulsive thoughts and feelings. The problem is, at our present undeveloped level, we believe that another person...
The spiritual journey is not a movement through time, as if one travels from “here to there”; rather, it is an indwelling realization of the interaction of celestial forces giving birth to an immaculate conception...

Self-realization is the same as the conscious negation of any form of identification; (it is) inseparable from a higher awareness that reveals what no so-called "spiritual thinking" can see, let alone understand as true: no matter how pleasurable or painful, elevated or excruciating may be any conditional, temporary sense of self... it is not who you are.
What is real spiritual strength? It is knowing that we need never (again) compromise ourselves in any way -- with anyone, or over anything -- in order to be at peace. Here is the real reason why so very few ever realize a conscious relationship with the Divine: true spiritual union is consummated only through a growing awareness of one's inner poverty; in acknowledging its actual estate, one's soul gradually matures into an ever-deepening humility that -- since "the beginning" was -- and is -- created to culminate in an act of Love.
No one is obligated to feel spiritual remorse; yet, "it is written" in the stars themselves that all must eventually pay for what they have done against themselves, or others. The spiritual journey is not a movement through time, as if one travels from here to there; rather, it is an unfolding realization acting as a catalyst for the transfiguration of oneself... wherein one's identity ceases to be a mere effect -- an unconscious byproduct of passing events -- and becomes, instead, a "partner in cause" -- a Producer -- contributing to the revelation of Life itself.
It often happens that in our struggle to learn and subdue the nature of our pain that our struggle itself becomes the pain that we are in. Now there is an ache upon an ache, and the darkness doubled... which is why the stepping stones of the true spiritual path are not made up of powers, but of new and higher self perceptions.
Part I: All internal disturbances, in and of themselves, are blind...and if you understand this one psychological/spiritual Truth, then you also understand one of the higher internal meanings of "The blind lead the blind, and both fall in the pit." Part II: Fear knows as much about freedom as a shark knows about the nature of the stars.
