There is likely nothing more painfully mistaken -- no greater impediment to the realization of our freedom than the feeling that we are somehow entitled to it; we are entitled to nothing, and yet -- even in this world of spellbound souls who can only dream of being free -- we may have anything for which we're willing to make the appropriate payment.
Persist with your wish to be free; work to see all that you can about yourself, and then quietly watch what happens. Whatever appears before your inner eyes does so as part of what you need to see in order to realize that freedom for which you have asked. Never forget this truth... and your spiritual progress will be steady.
Part 1 Life is only a drama for those who play an unconscious role in an imagined story. Part 2 There are no fixed conditions in reality; in truth, all is consciousness that's either free to be its own Light fluidity, or that's made an unwitting captive of the frozen waterfall of forms it creates to try and know itself through.
Part 1 Count the number of things about yourself that you've hidden from yourself (or others) and you also know how many fears stand between you and your potential to be effortlessly free. Part 2 The only one who finds that life is truly without limits is the one who goes all the way to the end of his or her chosen endeavor.
Here's the truth that helps sets you free, but only as you agree to see its Divine Law at work within you: Real Life never asks for one thing more than what it's already given to you...
Untouched, uncorrupted by what once was, and yet unfolding from it -- as does a new blossom from its bud -- comes forth the ever-present moment. But (such) newness holds no familiar pleasure for a mind locked in time: where its struggle to be free unfolds in self-spun captivity, an unwitting but willing captive of a prison whose bars are the past carried forward.
Anyone who rushes through life always finishes last! This is a truth unseen by the masses, but evident to those weary of going nowhere fast. You race as you do to escape the unhappiness you feel being where you are, running toward what you imagine will free you from that dissatisfaction. But such races are always lost before they begin because you can't outrun yourself!...
Untouched, uncorrupted by what once was, and yet unfolding from it -- as does a tender new flower from its stem -- comes forth the ever-present moment. But (such) newness holds no familiar pleasure for a mind locked in time: where its struggle to be free unfolds in self-spun captivity, an unwitting but willing captive of a prison whose bars are the past carried forward.
To continue existing in a human being, an invading negative spirit must instantly find an image in this person that corresponds with its conflicted nature. Once this person identifies with this picture the circuit is complete and the negative spirit is free to exact its punishment on that being even as it continues to deceive him into hating someone or something else for his pain.
Only...in the presence of what is Real, Of what is Peace, Of what is Love, Is revealed, there, in its undying Light, A dark and looming shadow... The defiant giant of All we imagine ourselves to be. Yet, in the suddenness Of this same nothingness Lives Grace: an unexpected glimpse of The All and the Everything, Of...the Truth that sets us free.
The more you're willing to see that living within you is something that resists, resents, and rejects your wish to be self-aware at all times -- that wants only to be left alone with what it wants, regardless of the cost to you -- the more ruthless you'll become in your dealings with this dark nature, doing whatever it takes to free yourself from its grip.
The more we think about what’s wrong with life, with others, or about ourselves, the less we see this self-evident, but simple truth that once realized... helps set us free: the more we think about any disappointment, or the prison of some lingering pain we can’t seem to escape, the more we are made a captive of those very same thoughts.
