Classroom Talk: 2/5/2020 -Part 1: Effortless contentment appears as unconscious resistance -- along with its "partner in conflict" -- involuntary insistence, disappears. Part 2: Spiritual freedom is not found by avoiding what disturbs us, but rather by the deliberate interior work of illuminating whatever still dwells in the dark of us that is...
Every living thing is searching for something to fulfill itself. Raindrops rush down to slake the thirst of a parched earth, even as water-laden clouds are drawn high into the skies so they can pour themselves out. Streams seek out rivers that rush down to merge with the sea. It's really quite clear: the great circle of life is imbued with a unique kind of "gravity."
Can you count the number of times you have been present in a moment of your life and realized how much you wished you weren't you? That you hadn't done what you just did, and wished you would never do it again... loathing yourself for your weakness, despising yourself for your ambition that compromises you with every step you take, feeling frightened over some possession you've managed to acquire in the hope of some freedom it promised...

Classroom Talk: 12/9/2020 - Never forget the truth that follows, and freedom is nearer than you think: no real spiritual effort is ever in vain, even when we're given to see -- as result of our inner work -- some low estate into which we've temporarily fallen. In turn, always remember: the great ocean into which the waters of a river...
Student Talks: 01/30/2026 - The end of suffering is not found in the pursuit of freedom from suffering, but in seeing through the very nature of desire that generates the suffering to begin with. The problem is not what we desire, but rather our unseen identification with desire itself, and the endless cycle of conflict it creates.
