Attending to and completing what the present moment asks of us is the business of Real Life. In the simplicity of this relationship is found the timeless wealth of our True Self: a faith no fear can shake, an innocence no temptation can steal, and a freedom that no unwanted moment in life can take.

Nothing in the universe has the power to stop you from starting your life all over, nothing except for one thing: unconsciously identifying with those punishing parts of yourself that want you to believe that wherever you may have been stopped along the way is the same as having gone as far as it's possible for you to go.

Love and patience are special powers of the Spirit that no storm in life can turn back into our face. . . And of these two powers that are twin cornerstones of Higher Consciousness, only patience is in our power to cultivate. Real love may only be perfected by Herself, while true patience is gained through faith, endurance, and a positive outlook in life.

The mastery of anything, including ourselves, begins with the faith that we are not here on earth to be perfected according to an image we hold of ourselves, but rather to allow Perfection to work its way upon us...So that only the awareness of something Greater than ourselves can draw us into a Greatness beyond ourselves, if we will it so.

Yours is also the right to effortlessly recognize and release anger and frustration, to be able to see them for exactly what they are -- false powers disguised as helpful guides in times of duress.

We are never more successful in life than in those moments when -- for having seen by a Light that cannot be compromised -- we choose to set aside a selfish thought or dark feeling in favor of serving what is Right, Bright, and True.

The reward of any true spiritual intention is the revelation that same action serves to produce. The more we learn to "see" by this interior Light -- what was in the dark of us only moments before -- the more faith we have that our wish and work to know the Truth of ourselves is the same as its appearance within us. This is the Way...

To be persistent is to work after its "cause" has gone underground and goes unseen for a while. Then, for our efforts to rise above ourselves -- though they may feel pointless when all seems well -- we ascend to a new and unshakable interior ground that doesn't give way when our conditions change once again.

It isn't our "plans" to improve ourselves that empower the changes we know are needed in our lives; it is our willingness to suffer what we must that makes good our wish, that delivers us to our intended goal.
