The blossoming of our soul -- leading to its transfiguration -- rarely unfolds in a light that we would recognize as such. Many times darkness is the medium, sorrow the seed, and the subsequent humility conceived in these trials... is the Divine Garden in which its petals open, one by one.

The fact that we can't see how, too often, we follow a part of ourselves that is blind -- as evidenced by the eventual pain of having to pay for its missteps -- proves that this 'I' -- this part of us must surely be as blind as our guide, or else we would be able to see the blindness of this 'self' in whose footsteps we have placed our trust!...
