The only reason we ever get "disturbed" over what others may or may not think about us... is because there is something in our present nature that wants to be.
The only way to free yourself from the illusion of any fearful moment to come is to wake up and then deliberately drop the dark dream born of a lower level of self that loves imagining fearful things.
Ignoring what any unwanted moment asks of us -- resisting, or summarily dismissing the "question" inherent in our awareness of its disturbance -- guarantees the following: these moments will return, and keep returning... that is, until we agree to realize -- and so release -- the unconscious parts of us responsible for their repeated appearance.
