Discover the Secret Strength in Every Weakness

"Making it" spiritually means working to change yourself according to Higher Ideals and to fulfill the purpose for which we were created.

GF tells VH story about the spiritual school where students were given three tasks to do, but still no one passed the test. "Because," the teacher said, "that's all you did!"

True greatness is the ability to transcend oneself. We are given the capacity to do that. We are not a fixed entity. Transcendence is a departure from oneself. When we die to ourselves, we find it is possible to love. But I prefer hating my condition to departing it.

The purpose of life is the reformation of matter. I can't release my negative states, but I can cooperate.

Story: Two brothers inherited a mansion. It was crumbling, but inside was hidden a treasure. One day the younger brother found a sign on one of the doors, "Enter at your own risk."  A moan came out of the room and scratching on the walls. He didn't tell his brother, but he went and hired a psychic investigator. Sal the Spook Remover arrived, but he was so scared of the room he ran out.

Finally, the young brother thought, "Could my father's house have any rooms that are not of use?"  He went into room and after a while his eyes adjusted. He saw that the room was totally empty, but on the wall was a speaker. The wire ran to his brother's room. The older brother did not want his younger brother to find the treasure.

The real treasure is freedom from fear.

Life asks no one to change. Life doesn't ask us to explore negative states, but to avoid them. That way nature is served, not spirit. In every weakness there is a hidden strength, but we don't ask, can this negativity be transcended?" Exploring a state is not thinking about it. The state can only be changed by bringing light into it.

Some days God seems light years away. It is natural, but it is not natural to give up to the state. One little part of us can bring itself into exploration and understanding. The world explored will have new light in it. Every time we step into a darkened room and wait that room will change and a miracle will occur.
