There is a world, in you, that has been waiting for you since the beginning of time. There is a truth that sits at the root of all religions that torments human beings. It is "Everything is given to you". Human beings want to be self-providers. They have to have a world to get things from. Otherwise, what are they here for? The completion of the soul stands within a human being.
The root of the religious life is tradition. Tradition takes what was originally a gift of wisdom, real knowledge produced by a spirit that totally changes a human being and makes it into form. Real transformation cannot be qualified. Tradition of the light is not the same thing as the Living Light. There are good traditions like Grandma's recipes but even these can't be reproduced without the love originally put into them. We take the idea of the love of God and fashion it into our own image, which is only worshiping ourselves. Real worship of God takes place when the creator and you stand together. Real tradition is a living light passed from one person to another; an actual living flame from one who has been contacted and passed along by the love they have for it and their own relationship to it.
We are created to find the truth of things for ourselves. We were not intended to mistake the idea of truth for the love of it. A postcard of a fire cannot warm us. It is not the real thing. Living intelligence warms one by its very existence. So, what cuts us off from the truth of life? The truth of life is not a place. A place is subject to change. It is not a person or a time. Where is the truth of life found? The moment of truth is now. It is the same moment as when Christ was alive. Self needs a time in the future for preparation to know itself. The moment of truth reveals what is! God creates repeating circumstances and presents the same moment of truth to us over and over again. The moment of truth is the ground of reality.
If we are not here right now, where are we? Most of our lives are spent ceaselessly and seamlessly reconciling the events of our lives. We decide what just happened by going over and over in our minds to make things add up and come up with what we need to do in the future to make things right. Our interpretation of what happened and our plan for the future. The mind is a never-ending turning and thinking machine creating sensations and feelings about what has transpired by going into what it knows from its past experience and drawing from it how to know itself. When we draw from what was we are isolating ourselves from what is. What is, is the moment of Truth.
When this internal turmoil passes through us something inside us rises up and tells us what is happening, fallacious self. "I am" and it has been given life. Then we try to overcome what is a figment of our imagination. Something is always trying to reconcile what we are feeling. The universe is in complete harmony. There is only one conflict. It is between what was and what is, tradition and the genuine love of God.
All we live from is what was. We meet moments from reconciliating action, what the moment is and what it means and what we have to do about it. All an expression of what we want in conflict with what is. If a person wants a whole life, they have to stop being engaged by the false self that explains how it is going to protect you from the life it actually gave you. We can't be us in what is. The moment of truth is the same as the unknown moment. What we're telling ourselves about the moment is the past. The unknown moment is a reflection and connection to the unknown God. The unknown moment and the unknown God are one thing and the self can't exist there. No self, just the Truth, God, Light and it becomes part of what perfects you. Risk the unknown moment and stand there.
