After being hurt in a relationship, or making a big mistake, have you ever wondered, “Why didn’t I see that coming? Why do I always see things too late, after the damage is already done?” At times like these we may wish there was a part of us – a kind of personal Jiminy Cricket – that could go before us, see the warning signs, and let us know when we were about to get into trouble.
Well, there is such a part. Guy calls it the “All-Seeing I,” and it is really a higher form of awareness. We get into trouble because we look at life through a kind of filter of demands, explanations based on past experiences, fears, and desires. That means we keep seeing life as we want it to be, instead of the way it actually is in reality. Small wonder we keep running into moments we don’t want!
But Guy tells us that behind that dark filter of thoughts and feelings stands a higher order of intelligence that can see through their limitations, revealing new and higher possibilities. We’ve all experienced it in moments of sudden insight, but our contact with it is spotty. Fortunately, Guy will now provide insight into how we can achieve more constant contact with our own wiser self.
St. Paul tells us, “For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.” He is describing our limited current state of consciousness that distorts the world we see and live in; and then he compares that diminished life to our experience when we live from a higher state of consciousness, the All-Seeing I.
The All-Seeing I is a higher part of us that sees life truly, because it is one with the life it sees. Imagine a perfectly polished mirror that perfectly reflects everything as it is without any distortion. Such awareness grants us tremendous power. We are no longer confused and deceived by remnants of our past or old fears carried through our lives. We see what we really are, what our lives are about, including the higher meaning of our relationship to life itself.
The All-Seeing I is our conscious connection with the Divine, and to see through its pristine gaze is to live in perfect safety and to know perfect love. During three powerful talks, Guy will reveal how we can begin to live from that higher place. Here are just some of the discoveries we can make:
We’re delighted that we’re able to offer Guy’s talks through livestreaming. It allows people around the world to participate in our events. That’s why we’re livestreaming all our Weekend of Wisdom talks.
But nothing compares to being fully immersed in the atmosphere of a genuine inner-life school. And if you can be with us in person, you’ll feel the amazing energy in the room and be with people who are working, just as you are, to develop a true relationship with life.
Your heart will be filled as you gather new understanding and feel higher emotions. And you’ll be able to take all of that back with you when you return home, where it will help renew your relationships with others, with yourself – and with the Divine.
Give yourself an experience you will treasure always. Make plans to join us for our intensive Weekend of Wisdom.
We hope to see you in person, but if that’s not possible, we look forward to having you join us via livestream.
Register for the Livestream at guyfinley.org/seeing and you will be emailed the view links right before the talks.
