Exercise given after Guy Finley's 1/6/13 talk 'Be the One Prayer That is Always Answered'. When you feel the onset of any painful pattern, ask without thinking about it -- what am I filling myself with? What is coming into me that I'm identified with? Then work to become actively passive to it. Make the prayer for watchfulness. By being watchful of what you are filling yourself with -- instead of agreeing to it -- you can change the relationship, as nothing can enter into your watchfulness that isn't ultimately transformed by the light.
