Each time we agree, knowingly or not, to lie to ourselves about ourselves -- and therefore to others, as well -- there's no escaping the following fact: to lie is the same as denying the Truth that sets us free; which is exactly what our lower nature hopes to achieve in its almost ceaseless effort to deceive us however it can.

Part 2

The never-ending journey of trying to set the world straight -- so as to escape feeling ravaged by some bitterness or anger that rages through us -- always starts with the lie that something outside of us is responsible for the flames that burn within us.
