Discover the Invisible Power That Makes You Invincible
Our best ideas -- individually and culturally -- about the nature of strength have failed us... which isn't to say there's no such thing as unfailing strength, or true self-command. No, the fault lies elsewhere:
Over time we have become identified with a pervasive, but deeply mistaken belief about the nature of real power.
As a result, our too-frequent pain of feeling powerless is not because some moment has suddenly stripped us of whatever powers we've come to imagine as our own...
...Rather, the real cause of (our) suffering is the shock of realizing, and then resisting, a grace-provided revelation that these powers -- including the strong, but mistaken sense of self so deeply vested in them--have always been imagined.
The only real power, the timeless source of true strength, already dwells within us... and to seek it elsewhere binds us to both the illusion -- and the suffering inherent in it -- that of ourselves we possess the "power" to complete ourselves... to make ourselves whole.
